Partnership Self-Assessment

This Partnership self-assessment is a tool partners can use to help them see the strengths and weaknesses of the collaboration. This can help identify what has to change for the partnership to be successful. It measures what is referred to as partnership synergy which means compatibility. It is important to answer each question completely and honestly for the tool to be useful.

Administration Management (9 questions)

All questions relate to agendas, meetings, scheduling, and communication.

Benefits of the Partnership (11 questions)

All questions relate to the mutual benefits from this partnership. This includes the status, impact, contributions, and public image.

Decision-Making (3 questions)

All questions relate to areas of decision-making including support and inclusion.

Drawbacks of the Partnership (6 questions)

All questions identify any potential risks of the partnership including diversion of time or resources, conflicts, lack of commitment, and unfair division of duties.

Efficiency (3 questions)

All questions relate to time management and financial resources.

Financial Capital Resources (3 questions)

All questions relate to equipment, space for the business, and money.

Leadership (11 questions)

All questions relate to conflict resolution, vision for the future, and motivation. This includes both informal and formal leadership roles.

Non-Financial Resources (6 questions)

All questions relate to credibility, influences, and skills.

Satisfaction with the Partnership (5 questions)

All questions relate to being satisfied with the other partner, the role of that individual, and your own role within that business agreement.

Synergy (9 questions)

All questions relate to goal-setting and problem-solving skills
