Benefits of Membership
As a member of the Coalition you will not only be joining forces with individuals from all over the world concerned with equitable global health, but will also have access to various other resources and benefits, including:
Membership Services Site
Our secure membership services site provides members with access to:
- Members Directory: A place for you to post and update your own profile while also having access to information on other members from around the world. Searchable by institution, research interest, and location, the directory is an ideal way for you to better connect with and contact others who are passionate about global health. Direct links to email information promote contact between members about global health issues, for example research projects and potential partnerships;
- Funding Road Map: Information updated on a quarterly basis that provides summary information about funding sources for global health projects, including eligibility criteria, application procedures and contact information–all in one location. As part of our 2014 online engagement strategy we’ll be evaluating how this service can be most useful to our membership.
- Historical Member Documents: Our members-only update, Coalition Connect, provides detailed updates on Coalition activities and broader developments in global health research. A collection of past newsletters is stored in an archive on our members site.
This monthly communication goes to current members and provides updates about Coalition activities, and up-to-date news about funding, job and professional development opportunities.
Members are the first to receive information about funding opportunities, and up-coming events such as the Summer Institute for New Global Health Researchers and other regional forums and events.
As a member, you will be able to vote in all CCGHR Board Elections.
Join the Coalition
The above benefits of membership provide incentives at an individual level, yet the true strength of our work is the ability for us to speak as a unified voice for global health research in Canada. Membership dues contribute directly to the Coalition’s work by giving us the resources necessary to connect members and facilitate collaborative projects on capacity-building, policy influence, and networking. As a result, the Coalition is able to contribute to strengthening capacities of individuals, institutions, and systems in Canada and LMICs, contributing towards our long-term vision of “Promoting better and more equitable health worldwide through the production and use of knowledge.”
We hope you will join us in this effort.
