Description:
These grants are intended to provide undergraduate students with health research
experience during the summer. Support will consist of $1,349/month for three
months. The funding is intended for students of Aboriginal descent.
Eligibility:
You must be an undergraduate student. Preference will be given to applicants of Aboriginal descent, in a health-related program of study. You should be a student at the First Nations University of Canada, University of Regina or the University of Saskatchewan. Preference will be given to students who are involved in work in Aboriginal communities, but if you are involved in any type of health research you are eligible to apply. The focus is on Aboriginal health research.
Application Process:
The research supervisor of the program/project you are interested in should apply for this funding, using the application form on IPHRC’s website (www.iphrc.ca/documents/forms/2008_iphrc_summer_undergrad_research_application.doc).
