Description:
This program is designed for organizations or communities who would like to conduct a research project, but who are lacking the resources necessary to prepare a proposal. You may receive up to $5000 for the development of a proposal that you plan to submit to an Atlantic Canada regional funding organization, or up to $10,000 for the development of a proposal that you plan to submit to a national funding organization.

Eligibility:
Priority will be given to projects that:

• are relevant to the health of Aboriginal people
• provide opportunities for research capacity and training within Aboriginal communities
• are respectful of the principles of participatory research involving Aboriginal communities

Specific focus on global health research?
The focus of this program is on Aboriginal health research.

Application Process:
In addition to the project title and a one paragraph project summary, you must send a full proposal for your proposal to the AAHRP at the postal address below. This proposal should include the background and objective of your project, a description of the development of the research proposal, and information about the principal investigator, intended dissemination of results, ethical consideration and project funding.
