Description:
This grants program is for community-based health research in Aboriginal communities, for Aboriginal researchers or non-Aboriginal researchers collaborating with Aboriginal groups. The grants are limited and suitable for pilot projects or development of proposals for regional or national research competitions.
Eligibility:
Priority will be given to projects that:
- are relevant to the health of Aboriginal people
- provide opportunities for research capacity and training within Aboriginal communities
- are respectful of the principles of participatory research involving Aboriginal communities

The focus of this program is on Aboriginal health research.
Application Process:
You must submit both a Project Summary and a Full Proposal, which should include the background, objective, methods and intended dissemination of the project, as well as ethical certification, co-applicant information, curriculum vitae, community information, and funding information. The original application and three photocopies must be mailed to the AAHRP’s main office at the address listed below.
