Eligibility:

  • These grants are available to Canadian and American researchers who are preferably still early-on in their careers.
  • The researcher must spend at least 75% of his/her time in the research of pathogens.
  • Grantees may continue to solicit funds (or already receive funds) from other organizations

Specific focus on global health?
The focus is on infectious diseases such as malaria, pathogenic fungi and human parasites which affect mainly developing countries.

  • Grantees are selected by a committee made up of researchers and educators in the area of infectious diseases.
  • Applicants fill out a form and apply on-line

The deadline for this year's application is November 3rd, 2008.
