Stipends for up to six years, to support the continuation of clinical training (Phase 1), or as a contribution toward a clinician’s salary (Phase 2)

Description:
“The Clinician Scientist Award is offered to highly qualified and motivated clinicians who have been identified by a Canadian medical or dental school as having strong potential to become clinician-scientists.”

Eligibility:

  • By the time you apply, you must hold a professional degree from a health-related discipline (medicine or dentistry), as well as have completed (at least) two years of post graduate clinical training

Specific focus on global health research?
No, but for this first phase of the program, you are eligible to apply to this program in order to train at an international institution.

For the 2007 competition, the registration date was August 22nd (Industry-Partnered awards only). This could change in the future.
