CCGHR eBulletins

2010
  • Number 74, July 2010
Our seventh Summer Institute for new global health researchers, a major annual Coalition event, took place in Quito, Ecuador from July 4 to 12. A more detailed report, including some photographs, will appear soon on our website. Meanwhile, in this Bulletin we will feature some highlights of this important event.
  • Number 73, May-June 2010
During the months of May and June, a team of "helpers" was busy updating the Coalition's website-to ensure that it reflects the new 2010-2014 strategic plan. We've also been setting up the website to get ready for implementing the Coalition's new membership system. This Bulletin will describe components of this new arrangement and provide an update about the current situation. Also included is a notice about the 2nd Annual Learning Forum - with a reminder that we are now open for registration for this October event.
  • Number 72, April 2010
About a year ago, we conducted a series of meetings with members in different cities across Canada, as part of the membership consultation for the new strategic plan. One of the clear recommendations from this consultation was for the Coalition to more intentionally promote and support members at a regional level. This issue of the Bulletin will feature two recent regional forums-in Atlantic Canada and in Alberta.
  • Number 71, March 2010
As many of you will remember from the most recent Bulletin (#70 January-February 2010) we have launched our new 5-year strategic plan. This means that we are entering a time of transition and change. This Bulletin will provide updates about three transitions -membership in the Coalition, our website, and our secretariat. In a note at the end, we also say farewell and a special thank you to Roberta Lloyd, the CCGHR manager, who has completed a 4-year secondment from the Canadian Institutes for Health Research.
  • Number 70, January-February 2010
The first two months of this new year have seen the launch of the Coalition's new 5-year strategic plan. This issue of the Bulletin will summarize how we got to this point, and provide highlights of the initial "launch phase" activities.
